An ambitious new charity concert is set to place the spotlight firmly on trans rights in the United Kingdom, bringing together one of the most wide-ranging all-star lineups the British music scene has seen in recent years.
The event, titled Trans Mission, will take over London’s OVO Arena Wembley on 11 March 2026, with tickets scheduled to go on sale on 2 December 2025 at a starting price of £28.50.
According to The Guardian, the concert is being organised by Olly Alexander in collaboration with Mighty Hoopla, the festival team known for its inclusive programming and large LGBTQ+ following.
Trans Mission aims to raise funds for two organisations deeply involved in the legal and social support of trans people. The Good Law Project will receive part of the proceeds.
This group is widely recognised for its work holding public institutions accountable and for its legal efforts related to human rights cases. Another portion will go to Not a Phase, a trans led charity focused on community support, mental health resources, and practical assistance for trans adults.
The scale of the artistic lineup signals the seriousness of the moment. Sugababes are among the headline performers, continuing their strong return to the spotlight after a run of high-profile performances in the past few years.
They will be joined by Sophie Ellis Bextor, whose recent surge in popularity has come through both new music and her long-standing influence on British pop.
Indie rock fans will see Wolf Alice on the bill, while audiences can also expect appearances from Beth Ditto, Beverley Knight, Christine and the Queens, Adam Lambert, Kae Tempest, Self Esteem, Joesef, and Rina Sawayama. Several other acts are expected to be added as the event approaches.
Beyond the music, the organisers have confirmed a roster of public figures who will appear on stage throughout the evening. Sir Ian McKellen is among the most prominent, continuing his long-running advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights.
Nicola Coughlan has also been announced. Munroe Bergdorf, a leading voice in British trans activism, is expected to address the crowd, while Green Party deputy leader Zack Polanski has been listed as another participant.
Olly Alexander, who is curating the event, has spent the past decade using his platform to speak about LGBTQ+ issues in the United Kingdom.
His work with Mighty Hoopla aligns with the festival’s mission to create public events where queer voices and experiences are placed at the centre.
Mighty Hoopla’s rise in London’s festival landscape is well documented. The company has consistently sold out Brockwell Park in recent years, drawing tens of thousands of attendees and featuring major international acts.
Trans Mission arrives at a time when discussions about trans rights in the UK remain heavily politicised. Advocacy groups have warned that access to healthcare, legal protections, and public acceptance remain uneven.

The Good Law Project has published several analyses outlining legal concerns, available at https://goodlawproject.org .
With an arena-sized venue and a lineup that spans pop, rock, R and B, and spoken word, the organisers hope the scale alone will deliver a clear message of solidarity.
Wembley has hosted many concerts tied to cultural or political moments, such as Live Aid in 1985 and One Love Manchester in 2017.
Trans Mission aims to join that lineage by using music not only as entertainment but as a catalyst for visibility and public support.
The event’s success will depend on turnout, donations, and continued public attention. For now, the names attached to the project suggest that the night in March will draw a significant national audience.
Tickets open for purchase on 2 December, giving supporters of trans rights and fans of the performers their first chance to back what organisers describe as a united cultural response at a pivotal moment.
