Presley Gerber, the model and only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died Sunday at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office. He was 27 years old. The cause of death has not been listed, and an autopsy has not been completed.
Crawford’s publicist confirmed the death to CNN. “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” the representative said in a statement.

Gerber was born in California in 1999. He was one of two children Crawford shared with Rande Gerber, and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber. He entered the modeling industry at a young age, making his runway debut for Italian label Moschino at 16, according to CNN.
He went on to walk for brands including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren. Gerber also appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Celine, Pepsi, and Omega, and was featured in publications including GQ Style and The New York Times Style Magazine.

“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” Gerber said on the podcast.

In July 2026, Crawford marked her son’s 27th birthday with a Facebook post. “I’m so proud of the man you’ve become, but I’ll always see you as my little boy!” she wrote.
Kaia Gerber, 25, spoke about her brother’s struggles with addiction in American Vogue’s September 2026 issue, published approximately one month before his death. “When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said.
“I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help”.
She also praised his willingness to be open about his experiences. “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything — and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone,’” Kaia said.
